Two separate bus accidents in Nassau County killed two people and injured nine others.
The first tragic accident occurred when a bus driver swerved to avoid hitting a pedestrian and ran into a home on Long Island. A 6-year old boy inside the home was killed and the pedestrian suffered multiple fractures. Eight bus passengers were also injured. In the second accident, a transit bus hit and killed a 35-year old pedestrian.
